About The Thinking Company
History & How we got here.
The Thinking Company started in 2011 as a research and problem solving consultancy company. By 'started'' we mean it was started for us by our customers: initially friends and acquaintances approaching us to help them solve particular or peculiar business problems.
Peculiar problems are natural consequences of the new realities of our world: (i) the complexity levels jumped in the early 2000's, and (ii) in the same time , the world became highly coupled. Even though there are lots of other factors, but these two points alone requires fundamental change in thinking and problem solving approach.
Management Team
Dr. Isam S. Ayoubi, CTO (Chief Thinking Officer) & CEO
Dr. Isam S. Ayoubi is the CEO of The Thinking Company, a business problem-solving based research and consultancy firm, located in Saint John, New Brunswick, Canada.
Dr. Ayoubi is also a managing partner in Simo Media Solutions (SMS), an NB storytelling, animation and documentaries production company. SMS is also in the business of training, edutainment and creative non-fiction productions.
Dr. Ayoubi was also the executive producer for Pink Panther and Pals animated series, produced jointly with MGM. Additionally, Dr. Ayoubi produced a multitude of educational products and programs. Please see the Vita or the Portfolio sections for further details.
Dr. Ayoubi has a Ph.D. in Mathematics from Texas Tech University (1989), an M.S. in Mathematics and B.Sc. in Physics. Specialties are in inverse problems, partial differential equations, scattering theory and neutron (and radiative) transport theory.

Dr. Ayoubi has worked on several projects with either high impact or high value & reach. A sample of these include:
(Education) eMath & eScience:
Spearheaded the design, development and implementation teams for the k-12 eMath and eScience blended learning e-content projects. This was as part of the WEF JEI project. Directed partial implementation in Algeria, Morocco, Oman. Projects were all delivered on time and on budget. Among Major impacts: Significantly improved Jordan’s TIMMs and PISA scores.
(Production/Animation) Pink Panther & Pals:
Served as the executive producer of the PP&P, a 76 episodes, produced jointly with MGM and Rubicon, and aired on Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, and a variety of other major international networks. Successfully headed the business, legal and production aspects of the project. Set up a virtual 24-hr conveyor belt production pipeline spanning Manila, Amman and Los Angeles. The project was delivered on time and on budget. Among Major impacts: The project achieved a big success for all the parties involved, and delivered a steady stream of revenues.
(Education & Storytelling) Edutainment:

The Thinking Company has been working in data science and machine learning/AI since early 1990's.
Started out by by modelling time series, and later statistical and mathematical modelling actuary data

2. Business Training Workshops in how to best apply/use AI & ML in business and education.
